Privacy Policy

MOTRYN is designed so that your vehicle records stay under your control. The App stores the information you add locally on your device. Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski ("we", "us", "our"), does not operate a MOTRYN account system, cloud service or external database and does not receive, store or share your MOTRYN vehicle data.

1. Who we are

MOTRYN is published by Christopher Pallant (IamPalski), based in the United Kingdom. Privacy questions can be sent to iampalski@outlook.com.

2. Information stored by the App

MOTRYN may let you enter or create vehicle details and records such as registration information, make and model, mileage, service and repair history, MOT details, maintenance reminders, costs, notes, receipts, photographs, documents and App preferences. This information is stored inside the App on your device so MOTRYN can provide its features.

We cannot see, retrieve or remotely access this information. MOTRYN does not upload it to an IamPalski server, external database or developer-controlled cloud account.

3. No account, analytics, advertising or tracking

The App does not require an IamPalski account. It does not use developer-operated analytics, advertising networks, cross-app tracking or profiling, and we do not sell or share your App data. If a future version changes these practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that change takes effect where required.

4. Photos, documents and device permissions

If you choose to attach a receipt, photograph or document, MOTRYN uses the permission or file picker provided by your device. The selected copy is handled locally for the feature you requested. You can change camera, photo, file or notification permissions in iOS Settings. Grant only the permissions you want to use.

5. Notifications

If you enable service, MOT or maintenance reminders, the App schedules them locally through iOS. MOTRYN does not send your reminder content to us. You can disable notifications or change their permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Storage, backup and changing devices

MOTRYN does not provide developer-hosted cloud sync or a remote backup database. Your records do not automatically appear on another device. Before replacing, selling, resetting or repairing your device, or before deleting or reinstalling the App, you must use the export options available in MOTRYN and save the exported file somewhere you control.

Check that the exported file is complete and accessible before removing the original App data. Any location or service you choose for an exported file, such as Files, email, another device or a storage provider, is outside MOTRYN and is governed by that destination’s own privacy and security terms. We cannot recover records that were not successfully exported or backed up.

7. Exported data

An export is created only when you request it. MOTRYN does not automatically send the export to us. Once you export or share a file, you control where it goes, who can access it and how long it is retained. Vehicle documents may contain personal or sensitive details, so review the file and its destination before sharing it.

8. Retention and deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete them in the App, erase the App’s data or delete the App. Deleting the App can permanently remove its local records. Exported copies remain wherever you saved them and must be deleted from those locations separately. Because we do not possess your MOTRYN records, we cannot view, export, amend, restore or delete them for you.

9. Apple purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account and the App Store. MOTRYN may receive an entitlement status from Apple through StoreKit so it can unlock subscribed features, but IamPalski does not store your payment-card information or maintain an external subscription database. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and its applicable media-services terms.

10. Optional website launch signup

If you separately submit an email address through the MOTRYN launch form on iampalski.com, that website signup is separate from the App. The form uses Brevo to deliver the requested launch message as explained in the IamPalski website Privacy Policy. Submitting the website form does not create a MOTRYN account or upload your in-app vehicle records.

11. Apple diagnostics and platform services

Apple may process App Store, purchase, device, crash or diagnostic information under your Apple settings and Apple’s policies. That processing is controlled by Apple and is separate from MOTRYN’s local vehicle-data storage. We do not add a developer-controlled diagnostics database to the App.

12. Children

MOTRYN is intended for people responsible for managing a vehicle and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

13. Security

Your device security protects the local App data. Use a device passcode, keep iOS updated and protect any exported files. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, and anyone with access to your unlocked device or exported files may be able to view the information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be presented through this page, the App or App Store information where appropriate.
