Terms of Use

End User License Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski ("we," "us," "our," "Licensor"), the developer of the Renewd mobile application ("Renewd," "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using Renewd, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Renewd is available to users in all App Store territories and regions. These Terms apply regardless of the country or region from which you access the App.

2. Description of Service

Renewd is a personal organisation and reminder tool designed for financial advisers, wealth managers, mortgage advisers, and related regulated professionals. Renewd helps you track dates and reminders for documents and records you select, including but not limited to FCA authorisation, Statement of Professional Standing (SPS), Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII), CPD hours, and other records listed within the App's Settings.

Renewd is not a regulated financial services product. Renewd does not provide financial, legal, tax, compliance, or regulatory advice, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other regulator. Renewd is an organisational tool only.

You remain solely and fully responsible for confirming all regulatory deadlines, renewal dates, and compliance obligations directly with the FCA, your professional body, your PII provider, and any other relevant authority. Reminders generated by Renewd are based solely on dates you enter yourself and are provided for convenience only — they are not authoritative, are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete, and must not be relied upon as your sole record-keeping or compliance system.

3. Eligibility

Renewd is intended for use by licensed and regulated financial professionals aged 18 or over. By using the App, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and are using the App in a professional capacity.

4. Accounts and Data

Renewd does not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a backend server that stores your data. All information you enter into Renewd — including document names, dates, notes, and CPD records — is stored locally on your device only. We do not receive, store, transmit, or have access to any of the data you enter into the App. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.

5. Subscriptions

Renewd offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("Subscriptions") purchased through the Apple App Store, billed to your Apple ID account.

  • Title: Renewd Premium (Monthly / Yearly)
  • Length: As selected at purchase — 1 month or 1 year, renewing automatically for the same term
  • Price: As displayed at the point of purchase in the App and on the App Store product page, in your local currency
  • What's unlocked: Full access to document tracking, reminders, CPD logging, and all premium features described within the App at the time of purchase

Standard Apple subscription terms apply:

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details at any time.

6. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to have access until then, and no partial refunds are issued by us for the remaining period.

To cancel:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  • Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions
  • Select Renewd
  • Tap Cancel Subscription

You can also reach the same screen from within Renewd via Settings > Manage Subscription, which links directly to your Apple ID subscription settings.

We do not process refunds directly. All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with Apple's own refund policies — visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

7. Deleting Your Data

Because Renewd stores all of your data locally on your device and never on an external server, you are always in full control of it:

  • To delete specific entries, use the delete option next to any document or reminder within the App
  • To erase all data at once, use Settings > Clear All Data within the App, which permanently and immediately deletes all locally stored information
  • To remove all data completely, delete the Renewd app from your device — this permanently erases all associated local data along with the app itself

Because no copy of your data exists on any server we control, once deleted (by any of the methods above), it cannot be recovered by us, as we never had it.

Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your data — the two are handled separately, per the sections above.

8. User Responsibilities

You agree not to: use Renewd for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App; use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality; or misrepresent your identity or professional status.

9. Intellectual Property

Renewd, including its name, design, logo, and underlying software, is the property of Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal professional use only.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

RENEWD IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REMINDERS WILL BE TIMELY, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REGULATORY OR COMPLIANCE OBLIGATIONS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHRISTOPHER PALLANT, TRADING AS IAMPALSKI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF INCOME, LOSS OF PROFESSIONAL AUTHORISATION, REGULATORY FINES OR SANCTIONS, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE RENEWD, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or breach of these Terms.

13. Third-Party Services

Renewd is distributed via the Apple App Store and uses Apple's StoreKit framework to process subscriptions. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's own Media Services Terms and Conditions.

14. Acknowledgement Regarding Apple (Required Third-Party Terms)

You and Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski acknowledge that this Agreement is concluded between you and Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"), and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.

  • Scope of Licence: The licence granted to you is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
  • Maintenance and Support: Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support.
  • Warranty: In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Product Claims: Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • Intellectual Property: In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, and resolution of any such claim.
  • Legal Compliance: You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third-Party Beneficiary: You and Christopher Pallant, trading as IamPalski, acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified within the App or via an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where local mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence grant you additional rights that cannot be waived — those rights remain unaffected.

18. International Use

Renewd is made available globally through the App Store. Users outside the United Kingdom are responsible for compliance with their own local laws, including local regulatory requirements applicable to their profession, which may differ from UK requirements referenced within the App (e.g., FCA-specific terms).
